The Florida man accused of sending pipe bombs to prominent Democrats last week also threatened El Paso Congressman Beto O’Rourke, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The paper reports O’Rourke’s campaign confirmed the Democratic Senate nominee “received several threatening Facebook messages from pipe bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc earlier this year.”

A campaign spokesman said federal agents and canine units were sent to O’Rourke’s El Paso office last Thursday.

O’Rourke is challenging incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz in next week’s midterm election.

Sayoc is accused mailing small bombs to big-name Democrats and supporters including President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and actor Robert De Niro.
