He hasn’t said whether he’s running for president, but former El Paso Congressman Beto O’Rourke appears to have found himself the target of an alleged social media attack.

That’s according to reporting from Politico published Wednesday.

The article reports O’Rourke along with declared 2020 Democratic presidential candidates Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have been the subjects of a flood of memes, tweets and posts filled with either misleading or false claims about them.

Politico quotes experts who say though some of the posts appear to be organic, the majority appear to be like the “coordinated barrage” of posts believed to have come from Russian actors during the 2016 campaign. Similar irregularities were reported in the 2018 midterm elections.

“It looks like the 2020 presidential primary is going to be the next battleground to divide and confuse Americans,” Brett Horvath, founder of tech company Guardian.ai told Politico.
