Police searching for woman missing from Sunland Park Racetrack

A missing person alert has been issued for a 39-year-old woman who was last seen at the Sunland Derby Sunday afternoon.

Maria Inez Franklin, 39, was last seen around 3:48 p.m. leaving the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino on foot. She is described as 5-feet tall, 140 pounds, with green eyes and black hair. She was wearing a purple shirt with white strikes, torn light blue jeans, and white shoes.  

Anyone with information on Franklin’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sunland Park Police Department at (575) 589-2225 or Sunland Park Police Detective Daniel Perez (915) 603-2695.
