El Paso Police released the mugshot of Tia Chlois Hillary, 20, who is accused of shooting her 18 year-old roommate early Friday morning in Northeast El Paso.

Hillary is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Dating Violence after the incident.

According to police, they were dispatched to an apartment in the 10800 block of McCombs just after 7:30 a.m. Friday morning. When they arrived, they located Hillary’s roommate, Deja Maria Duncan, 18, suffering from a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

EPPD investigators allege that the two were involved in a fight that led to Hillary shooting Duncan inside the apartment.

Duncan was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of serious, life-threatening injuries.

Hillary was booked into the El Paso County Detention Center where she is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
