Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in West El Paso overnight as Desmond Williams, 43.
According to a news release, Williams was driving the motorcycle at high speeds when he crashed into the back of a car and was ejected.
Police say the motorcycle continued to travel, crossing the I-10 median and onto the easbound lanes before coming to a stop.
Williams died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
Investigators say speed was a factor in the crash.

According to police, the department’s Special Traffic Investigators responded to I-10 and Artcraft at about 3 a.m. Saturday.
The freeway was shut down for several hours.
Police have not yet identified the man killed in the crash.
