Two men were arrested Tuesday night after police allegedly found a gun and various drugs in their vehicle.
Officers were parked next to a 2017 Hyundai Sonata in 7-Eleven parking lot when they smelled burning marijuana coming from it, a police department news release said. This happened at about 10:20 p.m. on the 6200 block of Geronimo.
Police found that Mychel Stevens, 21, and Earnest Hampton, 24, had marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), MDMA (19 tablets – 4.5 grams), lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD – three paper strips), THC Wax (35.5 grams), Hashish (6.5 grams), Cocaine (1.5 grams), Oxycodone (.5 grams), Hydrocodone (.4 grams), and Alprazolam (7.5 grams). On top of that, Steven was also allegedly carrying two loaded handguns, illegally.
Stevens was arrested on suspicion of three counts of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, two outstanding warrants, on possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying. He was booked into jail and his bonds totaled $29,424.
Hampton was arrested on charges of one count of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana and one outstanding warrant. He was also booked into jail on bonds totaling $26,350.
