EPPD: Pedestrian killed Friday night struck by two vehicles

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Officials with the El Paso Police Department (EPPD) provided an update to Friday night’s deadly pedestrian crash in West El Paso.

According to EPPD, the pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Mesa and Eubank before 10 p.m. EPPD officials say the unidentified man was struck by two vehicles, as he was crossing North Mesa.

A few hours later, police sent out another alert, saying the pedestrian had died as a result of being struck by vehicles.

Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was crossing
North Mesa from west to east when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound.

A second vehicle then ran over the pedestrian after being struck by the first
vehicle, the pedestrian died at the scene.

The pedestrian was not on a crosswalk and was crossing in an area that had no street lights


EPPD officials added that their Special Traffic Investigators Unit responded, and would be investigating the accident.
