Opportunity Center for the Homeless experiencing overcrowding

El Paso News

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Officials at the Opportunity Center for the Homeless say there’s a large amount of people currently in their shelter.

They say it’s hard right now to maintain social distancing. According to the center, as of Monday night, 122 men and 52 women checked in.

They hope to open an overflow shelter in the next few days and encourage residents to call city leaders and ask to provide more resources.
