One child unaccounted for after early morning house fire in Sunland Park

Emergency crews are on the scene of an early morning house fire on the 100 block of Mesquite in Sunland Park, New Mexico. 

A man on the scene tells KTSM he lives in the home with his wife and three daughters. He said one of his daughters has not made it out of the home, and said another child was flown to Lubbock with third degree burns. 

The man said he woke up to the flames, but does not know how it started. 

Firefighters with the Sunland Park Fire Department remain on the scene, and smoke could still be seen coming out of the home. 

Deputies with the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office also remain on the scene. 

Neither department has released information about the the fire.
