EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The name of the man, killed in a crash at Gateway East and McRae, was released by the El Paso Police Department on Thursday.

Daniel Heriberto Dalli, 30, died at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday when his Acura TSX crashed the 7700 block of Gateway East, police said in a news release.

Dalli was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed when he exited I-10 East at McRae, police said.

“Mr. Dalli crossed all three lanes of traffic and lost control on landscaping causing his vehicle to roll,” the release said. “Mr. Dalli was ejected and died at the scene from his injuries.”

Jose Angel Enriquez Jr., 29, was in the passenger seat during the crash. He was taken to Del Sol Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police said they believe the speed of the car and alcohol contributed to the crash.
