Police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 10.
Abram Vega, 26, died after he crashed his 2007 Honda motorcycle at about 12:50 a.m. April 19 on I-10 East near Copia. The wreckage caused I-10 to be closed for eight hours, a news release from the El Paso Police Department said.
Police said he crashed into the center median and was thrown from the motorcycle. as he tried to get out of the left lane of traffic, he was hit by 2010 Nissan Altima driven by Hanna Alexandria Martinez, 23, the release said.
Following the crash, the motorcycle traveled for another half mile landing on the Reynolds off-ramp, the release said.
Investigators with the police department believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
