Motorcyclist killed in crash on Fred Wilson and Alabama, El Paso Police say

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 38-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday morning.

Robert Derrick Davalos Saenz was riding a 2001 Suzuki Volusia with Deva Davalos, 25, as his passenger on May 1. They were going north on Alabama at about 8:30 a.m. and ran a red light at Fred Wilson when they were hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 60-year-old man, according to a news release from the El Paso Police Department.

Saenz died at the scene and Davalos suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police said neither were wearing helmets. 

The driver was not injured in the collision.
