More than 3,000 without electricity in East El Paso

More than 3,000 customers are without electricity amid an outage in East El Paso on Thursday evening.

According to El Paso Electric, it was reported at about 8:30 p.m. near Montana and Global Reach.

Thunderstorms have been reported in the area throughout the evening, but it is unclear if the outage is weather-related.

According to El Paso Electric, typical restoration time is about three hours or less.
