The Hospitals of Providence are extending both East and West side Imaging Center hours this Saturday before Mother’s Day. They are encouraging mom’s to get their annual mammogram.
“We know that as busy moms, working moms or single moms… We have to take care of our health. It’s very important because if we don’t take care of ourselves, we cannot take care of our families,” Mammographer Sylvania Villalobos tells KTSM.
Not only can moms feel better about getting their annual check up, but also their kids as well.
“Not only does it benefit her, but it benefits me knowing that I’m satisfied with knowing that my mom is healthy,” Cristina Talamantes said
The availability for appointments are open to women over 40 years old with no prior mammogram within the previous 12 months.
Extra goodie bags will also be provided for moms who show up.
“Just to make them feel special on that day. Not only because they’re going to get their mammogram done, but because of Mother’s Day,” Villalobos shared.
The hours will be extended from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the West side location, and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the East side location.
Appointments are available by calling 915-591-9000, but make sure to get a physician’s order first.
