Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the El Paso Chihuahuas, are hosting a special binational ‘PLAY BALL’ event in recognition of Cinco de Mayo this Saturday, May 5 at Southwest University Park.

The event marks the first time participants from the United States and Mexico will play in MLB’s ‘PLAY BALL’ event.

Participating kids run through a series of informational baseball and softball centered stations, including home run hitting, running bases, bat and ball games and more.

All participating players also receive a bat, ball and PLAY BALL branded shirts and wristbands.

The free event will also be in support of BASE Play RBI, and all attending participants will be encouraged to sign up for the cost-friendly youth baseball league.

BASE Play RBI is operated as an after-school program provided by El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association (EPBYAA) while in partnership with Title 1 schools in El Paso County.
