Franklin football player James McClain-Green opens eyes, still in critical condition following crash

The Franklin High School football player who was seriously injured in a crash on Saturday night has been able to open his eyes, the Franklin Cougars Twitter page has posted.

The post said James McClain-Green is still in critical condition following the weekend wreck, but that he is making progress.

“Good morning #Cougarnation #915family! It is with great joy that we can share that James remains stable, has opened his eyes and is following simple commands. He is still critical BUT God is working! Thank you for your prayers and support!” the Tweet reads

A second blood drive is being held at Franklin High School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first blood drive was held at Bassett Place mall on Sunday.
