Fort Bliss soldiers being sent to the border, report says

Fort Bliss soldiers are deploying to the border to meet President Donald Trump’s directive to deploy active duty forces.

Fort Bliss officials confirmed that members of the 24th Press Camp Headquarters of the 1st Armored Division are part of the 7,000 troops headed to the U.S.-Mexico border.

The soldiers will reportedly be deployed to California, Arizona and New Mexico, according to a Military Times article.

No word on exactly where our local soldiers may be headed.
