Father, daughter shot and killed in Far East El Paso

El Paso police tell KTSM a father and daughter were shot and killed at a home in Far East El Paso early Thursday morning.

The victims were only identified as a 45-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman.

Police were dispatched to the 14500 block of Ava Leigh Avenue around 3:45 a.m. The two-story corner home is located near Edgemere Boulevard and John Hayes Street.

Investigators say the suspected gunman was identified as the daughter’s boyfriend. That suspect’s red pickup truck was found about four miles from the scene, crashed into a rock wall along Rich Beem Boulevard following a police chase.

Police had yet to release the names of anyone involved as of Friday morning.
