El Paso Weather On The Go: Winds return today, warm day in the 70s

El Paso News

We will see another above average day as far as our temperatures, but wind speeds and rain chances will also increase for today as well.

Temperatures will be warm throughout the day. Forecast highs will be 5°-8° above average. Most parts of the borderland will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s as dry and warm air is slow to move to our East.

As our next storm system moves in from the west our wind speeds will start to increase today as well. Winds will come from the west at 15-20+ mph, and gusts at 25+ mph. In fact, our winds will be even more windy on Friday and Saturday and continue to be breezy Sunday through Tuesday.

Humid air associated with this storm system will increase rain chances to 10% tonight and increase to 20% Friday morning. Conditions are expected to dry out for the weekend.

Another storm system coming in from the west will increase rain chances once again to 10% on Monday and Tuesday next week.

We will stay in the 70s for Friday, but as cooler air moves in our temperatures will start to dip into the lower 60s by Sunday.

A cold front coming in on Monday will drop temperatures into the lower 50s Monday and Tuesday.

A warming trend will start once again and temperatures will warm up into more seasonal temperatures by later next week.
