El Paso stayed below average Monday with a high of 55°, and we expect to stay warmer this afternoon.

A high pressure system will warm us up Tuesday-Thursday, before our next storm system with an associated cold front moves in.

As the next storm system moves in, we expect to see winds picking up Wednesday, with the warmest day this week Thursday.

The next Pacific winter storm arrives to the area Thursday and Friday.

Expect showers to kick off west of Sun City Thursday afternoon and then spread east through the evening.

Showers will continue through Friday before ending early Saturday morning. Some heavy snow is possible with this system, but mainly up in Silver City, and possibly up in Cloudcroft and Ruidoso.

The storm exits by mid day Saturday, leaving mostly clear skies for the weekend, with chilly temperatures keeping us below normal.
