El Paso hit 70° Wednesday afternoon, and today we expect to be a little warmer.
We expect to see winds picking up this afternoon, reaching speeds of 25mph coming in from the southwest. These warm winds will help us heat up to the 70s once again, before a strong cold front moves in Friday morning.
This cold front will bring in strong winds, cold air and rain chances throughout the day Friday.
Winds are expected to reach 35mph, which would be considered wind advisory level winds.
Make sure your holiday decorations are secured in your front yard, as these winds will be strong enough to move them around.
Rain chances will be rather limited, but the cold air mixed in with the windy conditions will create a chilly afternoon.
Things will begin to calm down Saturday, before our next cold front moves in Sunday into Monday, creating windy conditions Sunday afternoon and dropping highs to the low 50s Monday afternoon.
