El Paso stayed rather warm Sunday, despite the cold front that came through Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Easterly winds and a high pressure system will continue to bring below normal temperatures the region Monday and Tuesday.

A weak upper wave will cause a few showers and thunderstorms for parts of the Borderland area Monday afternoon, while the rest of the region stays mostly dry.

Showers and thunderstorms will become widespread as a strong low pressure system moves across the southern Rockies Monday nigh through Tuesday night.

A gradual warming trend will take over as westerly winds develop across the Borderland Wednesday through next Sunday.
