People from around the country are moving to El Paso for affordable living.
CNBC ranked the Sun City among the top 10 “boomtown” cities where buyers can purchase a home on a $60,000 salary and under.
Other cities on the list include Houston, New Orleans, and Dallas.
According to CNBC, in order to afford a home in El Paso, you only need to make in between $32,000 and $36,000 a year, with the median home price at around $158,000.
“Get pre-qualified first, you dont want to shop around you don’t want to look at houses before you’re pre-quallified because you don’t want to fall in love with a $300,000 house and only be able afford a $100,000 home,” said Conrad Pickett, President of the Greater El Paso Realtors Association.
Pickett also mentioned that, with a well-bugeted plan, becoming a homeowner isn’t as hard as you may think.
