El Paso Police find missing elderly man with Alzheimer’s

Santos “Mario” Reyes-Chavez, an elderly man who was reported missing on Friday, has been found safe and unharmed, police announced Sunday morning.

Police say he has been reunited with his family.


Police need your help finding an elderly man who was reported missing Friday night.

According to a news release, Santos “Mario” Reyes-Chavez, 82, was last seen at about 9 p.m. at his home on the 11300 block of Rising Star in East El Paso.

Police say the man, who has the beginnings of Alzheimer’s, knows how to use local transit systems and failed to return home.

According to the release, Reyes-Chavez was last seen wearing a navy blue cap, brown jacket, and navy pants.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call police at 915-832-4400.
