El Paso flower shop prepared for Valentine’s day

El Paso News

Today is one of the busiest days of the year for florists: Valentines Day.

Here in the Borderland flower shops have been busy preparing for weeks and even months.

Heaven Sent Florists on North Mesa Street, have been preparing for Valentine’s day for months.

They flew their son home from Dallas to help with all of Valentine’s day orders and have 300 Bouquets already prepared, and ready to be delivered.

They also expected to receive even more orders throughout Thursday.

“The business is going on 20 years in this location,” said Rafael Delfin the owner’s son. “I’ve been involved in the shop my entire life, it has grown up delivering flowers since I was little, and since I was able to drive. I came down to help my parents out just because of the sheer volume during this time.”

Every bouquet is unique, they say the most commonly requested flower is a red rose. After that, the most common is a pink rose follower by hot pink and lavender.

One special order they received for today was from a young man who is eloping with his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. He requested a bouquet of white roses to surprise her. And another woman ordered 91 balloons and a dozen red roses for her boyfriend.

Heaven Sent Florist says the only day busier for them than Valentine’s Day is Mother’s Day and they will start preparing for that soon.
