El Paso City Council Rep. Sam Morgan arrested on domestic violence charges

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Latest on City Rep. Samuel Morgan’s arrest.

UPDATE: In a news release police said Morgan allegedly assaulted his wife.

Police were called out to Morgan’s home in the 4300 block of Loma Casita at about Midnight.

“The officers arrived and through the investigation found that Morgan had assaulted his wife,” the release said.

ORIGINAL: Jail records show that El Paso City Rep. Samuel Morgan was arrested Friday morning.

According to El Paso County Jail records, Morgan is facing charges of assault causing bodily injury to a family member. His arrest was confirmed by sources at the city.

His bond was set at $3,000, which was posted.

Morgan is the District 4 representative for Northeast El Paso.
