El Paso Animal Services hosts ‘Kitten Shower’ Saturday

El Paso News

If you’d like to become a foster parent to a cute little kitten, El Paso Animal Services will be hosting an event just for you.

On Saturday, the shelter is hosting its second annual “Kitten Shower” to help find foster parents for the more than 100 kittens currently in its care.

The shelter has been receiving around 35 kittens per day, according to spokesperson Ramon Herrera.

Herrera says foster parents get support from the shelter with food and needed supplies and there is no cost to become one. The foster parent will typically have the pet for six to eight weeks.

There will also be some games and fun activities as well as a chance to spend time with the kittens.

The “Kitten Shower” will be held at the Grandview Park Shelter, 3100 Jefferson Avenue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
