A motorcyclist from Clint has died after being involved in a crash near Horizon City early Sunday morning.

According to Texas DPS, the wreck happened at about 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Horizon and Gateway West.

Investigators say Raymond Harley, 29, was speeding on Horizon toward the Gateway intersections when a trooper attempted to pull him over.

Harley then accelerated faster and ran a red light on the north side of Gateway West, officials say.

According to a news release, he then attempted to run a second red light on the south side of the Gateway when he and another vehicle crashed at the intersection.

Harley died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Del Sol Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
