El Paso Police arrested a couple who allegedly pulled out a gun and a baton during a road rage incident in Far East El Paso Saturday evening.
April Stearns, 39, and George Natividad, 42, are each charged with two counts each of Aggravated Assault after the incident along the 1900 block of N. Zaragoza.
According to police, Stearns and Natividad were in a Ford Flex when they got into a near-crash with another vehicle just before 6:30 p.m. The people inside both vehicles began exchanging words with each other.
Police say when they stopped at the next red light Natividad got out of the Flex with a gun and Stearns with a baton to threaten the couple in the other car.
Natividad allegedly fired his gun toward the car before the couple fled the scene. EPPD located the couple near the intersection of Pratt and Saul Kleinfeld shortly after the alleged road rage incident.
Stearns is being held on a $30,000 bond at the El Paso County Detention Center while Natividad’s bond was set at over $50,000 for the assault charge and 14 other traffic and municipal warrants.
