J.P. Bryan was the moderator at the forum to restore Duranguito on Saturday morning.
At the forum, the public had the opportunity to ask preservation experts questions about the cultural and historic future of Durangutio.
A representative from The City of El Paso, Sam Rodriguez, a city engineer, was also at the forum to answer concerns about the City’s plans for Duranguito.
“The benefits of building this facility next to the convention center is gonna bring us to a competitive level nationally and state wide as a city to be able to realize the economic benefits and the quality of life benefits that the facility is intended to bring,” said Rodriguez.
The area is currently fenced off in preparation for the archeological survey commissioned by The City of El Paso.
