Canutillo ISD celebrates Jose H. Damian

Canutillo Independent School District is working to keep the legacy of an advocate for education alive.

The district celebrated Jose H. Damian on Tuesday at the school named after him.

Damian died on Sept. 9 of this year.

The district said he served the students and community of the district as a school board member for 30 years.

Jose H. Damian Elementary School was named in his honor in 1992.
