El Paso’s rising NFL star was back in town Wednesday to give a little back to the community he says has his.
Green Bay running back Aaron Jones and his brother, UTEP defensive standout Alvin Jones, visited staff and patients at the Las Palmas Center pediatric intensive care unit.
Aaron presented a signed Packers baseball cap to 16-year-old Charlie Samaniego, a Coronado high school football player preparing for surgery. Samaniego called the visit a “dream come true.”
“It’s inspiration,” Samaniego told KTSM. “I’m seeing two guys from El Paso that played college ball and now one of them is with Green Bay. It’s amazing.”
“I’m just here to lift up their spirits,” Aaron said. “To let them know that everything will be OK.”
