2 people, including police officer, sent to hospital following East El Paso crash

Two people, including an El Paso police officer, were taken to the hospital following a crash in East El Paso Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the department’s Special Traffic Investigators responded to the intersection of George Dieter and Vista del Sol at about 2:45 p.m.

Officials say the crash involved a vehicle and a police patrol unit.

According to investigators, the officer and passenger may have been injured in the crash.

No word yet on what caused the wreck.
