El Paso optometrist waives co-pays for furloughed federal employees

Health and Medical

An El Paso optometrist is looking to help local federal employees affected by the ongoing government shutdown.

Dr. Richard Nevins is waiving co-pays for government workers as long as he accepts the insurance.

“You know these people, they don’t have a paycheck……and I really wanted to help them out,” Nevins told KTSM. “No co-pay is going to help. They can come in for an eye exam.”

Dr. Nevins’ practice is located at 1850 N. Zaragoza. To make an appointment, call 915-581-4497.
