Downtown El Paso business incubator inspires local entrepreneurs

If you ever thought about being your own boss, there is a place in the borderland that wants to help.

The HUB for Human Innovation in Downtown El Paso are inspiring people in our community to take a chance on themselves and their business dreams, and it’s working. The proof is in one local business that started at the HUB.

Two entrepreneurs, Victor Valenzuela and Hunt Berdick, teamed up and started E- Dealer Direct. Valenzuela and Berdick come from different back grounds but that was key to their success.

“What it takes to do that is people who really know the business and that’s the case that we have seen here, the coming together of car sales with high tech to create this company,” says HUB CEO Carlos Martinez Vela.

Valenzuela and Berdick credit their success to the HUB for their guidance and mentorship.

“I think you know having a place that brings people together with different skills and allows them to compliment each other is critical,” Berdick says.

E-Dealer Direct started with just three employees, and by January they will have fourteen employees.
