More than 300 migrants were arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol on Monday in Sunland Park.
The group was discovered by agents from the Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station just before midnight. The agents were working near Mt. Cristo Rey when they saw about 311 individuals walking around the pedestrian fence.
The agents took the group into custody and transported them to the Santa Teresa Border Patrol Station for processing.
This was the second large group to be apprehended that day, as about 330 were detained in Antelope Wells on Monday.
