More than 200 migrants surrender to Border Patrol agents at Mt. Cristo Rey

More than 200 immigrants are now in custody after surrendering themselves to Border Patrol agents in Sunland Park Friday night.

According to a Border Patrol spokesman, agents apprehended 230 immigrants at the base of Mount Cristo Rey at about 11:30 p.m.

Officials say the majority of the immigrants were from Central American countries.
