Congresswoman Veronica Escobar, Dreamer hold talk before Trump’s State of the Union

U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-16, Texas) and Senaida Navar, a Dreamer, hosted a Facebook Live prior to the President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address.

Navar, who currently works as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at El Paso, has been recognized for her work advocating for immigrant’s rights. She will be Escobar’s special guest during the speech.

The two discussed their hopes for what the president would discuss during the address. Specifically, the importance of uplifting border communities like El Paso and protecting Dreamers line Navar.
