U.S. Border Patrol officials arrested 180 undocumented immigrants Tuesday morning near Sunland Park.

Agents said the group was made up mostly of Central American families and unaccompanied minors.

Paramedics also responded and some migrants were taken to a local hospital, the Border Patrol said.

The agency said this is the second group of more than 100 people to be apprehended in the Sunland Park area since the beginning of the year.

“This is a situation that Border Patrol Agents continue to face in southern New Mexico: hundreds of parents and children being encountered by agents after having faced a dangerous journey in the hands of unscrupulous smugglers,” a news release from the Border Patrol said. “This is the second group of more than 100 people since the beginning of the fiscal year in the Sunland Park area. Similar large groups are being encountered at other border locations in the El Paso Sector. “
