Although R&B star Khalid continues to ascend to global fame, the American Teen doesn’t forget the city he calls “home”.

The singer will release a new EP titled “Suncity” next week, he announced via Twitter on Friday.

The EP’s cover art shows Khalid sitting in front of a home located at the corner of Kentucky and Arizona in Central El Paso.

The announcement comes just days after Khalid won ‘Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B’ at the American Music Awards.

“Shout out to the 915! Shout out to El Paso, Texas!,” he exclaimed in his acceptance speech before giving a “shout out” to El Paso Congressman and Senate nominee Beto O’Rourke.

“Suncity” is set to be released on Friday, Oct. 19.
