Updated Results:

Three El Pasoans are running to replace longtime state Rep. Joe Pickett tonight.

Pickett announced he was leaving the state legislature in December due to an ongoing battle with cancer. 

The three candidates running are former El Paso City Council member Dr. Michiel Noe and EPCC Board of Trustee member Art Fierro, both Democrats, as well as retiree Hans Sassenfeld, a Republican.

Early voting results will be released at 7 p.m. when polling locations are closed. 

You can follow the results below:

Art Fierro (D) – 53.34% 2,514

Dr. Michiel Noe (D) – 26.65% 1256

Hans Sassenfeld (R) –  20.01% 943
