Election

The special election to replace El Paso state Rep. Joe Pickett is Tuesday.

As we reported he is stepping down as he continues a battle with cancer.

According to the El Paso County Elections Department, 2,705 out of 88,034 registered voters cast a ballot during early votings. The highest number of votes was registered Friday with 507.

There are three candidates looking to fill Pickett’s seat. They include former El Paso city Rep. Dr. Michiel Noe, El Paso Community College trustee and Chairman Art Fierro, both Democrats and retiree Hans Sassenfeld, a Republican.

Here is a list of where you can vote on election day if you live in Pickett’s district.
