Woman arrested for allegedly setting Northeast El Paso apartment on fire

A woman is in jail for allegedly setting a Northeast El Paso apartment on fire earlier this week.

According to the El Paso Fire Department, the fire broke out Tuesday afternoon on the 9000 block of Dyer.

Officials say Angelica Salazar intentionally used gasoline to ignite the fire, which firefighters were able to quickly extinguish.

According to a news release, no injuries were reported, but furniture and clothes were damaged.

Salazar is charged with arson, a first-degree felony. She was booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $25,000 bond.
