Thanksgiving shooting was result of home invasion: El Paso Police say

Police identified the three victims that were shot on Thanksgiving Day in Northeast El Paso and indicated that they were victims of a home invasion.

The shooting happened at about 3:50 p.m. in the 8300 block of Signal Peak. 

Juan Salas, 58, was shot and killed at the scene, while Lorenza Salas, 58, and Johnathon Salas, 24, were shot and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said in a news release.

“Investigators believe that the victims were not specific targets of this home invasion,” the release said.
