KTSM is learning more information into a Central El Paso shooting that claimed the lives of three teenagers earlier this month.

As KTSM previously reported, the shooting happened at about 5:45 p.m. at 3633 Lincoln. Juan Frausto Cazares, 22, is charged with the murders of Ricardo Del Moro, 18; Emmanuel Del Moro, 17; and Leslie Ibarra, 17.

According to a complaint affidavit, Cazares told responding officers that Ricardo and Emmanuel Del Moro approached him and said they “knew what he did” and that it was “time to pay.”

He reportedly replied that he didn’t know what they were referring to.

According to the documents, Cazares told investigators that the pair had knives and began stabbing him. He said they stopped when the knife broke as they were stabbing him in the head.

Cazares began running between two apartment complexes located at 3633 Lincoln and 3625 Lincoln and was screaming for help.

He told investigators that he “posted up” at 3633 Lincoln and shot the victims. “So I shot them,” he said, according to the affidavit.

A witness told police that he had previously seen the three victims in the neighborhood before their deaths. He reportedly saw the fight end and watched as Cazares retreated to his apartment before hearing a loud “bang”.

According to documents, Cazares later told investigators that he went to his apartment to retrieve a shotgun, followed after the victims, and fired one shot killing all three.

Cazares was taken to University Medical Center to treat his injuries. Upon release, he was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $1 million bond.
