Police identify pedestrian killed in weekend hit-and-run

El Paso Police identified the pedestrian killed in a weekend hit-and-run as Miguel Pereda Silerio, 27.

As KTSM previously reported, the incident happened at about 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Mesa and Resler.

According to investigators, the vehicle involved was traveling north on Mesa and hit Silerio, who police said was not at a crosswalk. 

Police released a surveillance photo of a white SUV that investigators suspect was involved. Investigators believe it has front-end damage and possibly a broken windshield.
