Names of man arrested, victim in Sunday’s stabbing on Lincoln is released by El Paso Police


Police have identified the man who was stabbed in Central El Paso on Sunday and the man who allegedly stabbed him.

The stabbing happened at about 12:13 p.m. on Dec. 30 in the 3800 block of Lincoln.

Detectives said that Remos Antwyn Lovett, 37, went to an apartment to visit his ex-girlfriend, who was currently dating Cornel Lamar Woods, 36, according to an El Paso Police Department news release.

Woods asked Lovett to leave and then went outside and allegedly stabbed Lovett as he walked away, police said.

Lovett was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and Woods was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on suspicion of aggravated assault under a $100,000 bond.
