Man who shot his wife in neck is identified by El Paso Police

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The name of the man who allegedly shot his wife in the neck on Wednesday has been released by the El Paso Police Department.

Michael Lauro Iglesias, 46, is accused of shooting his 39-year-old wife at about 8:18 p.m. on May 1 in the 1400 block of St. Johns, according to a release from the El Paso Police Department. 

The shooting happened during an argument, the release said. 

As police arrived they found her with the gunshot wound to the neck. They arrested Inglesias and provided aid to the wife.

She was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and was last listed in stable condition.

Inglesias was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $150,000 bond.
