Crime

El Paso Police are hoping to identify a man who ran out of a West El Paso jewelry store with a Rolex watch worth over $9,000 in late January.

The robbery happened on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the “Jared Vault” located in the 7000 block of S. Desert Boulevard at the Outlet Shoppes of El Paso. According to investigators, the man asked to see several rings and then asked to look at a Rolex watch valued at $9,100.

Surveillance video taken at the scene show the man taking pictures of the watch while holding it before he sprinted out the door and into a new model maroon Ford F-150 pickup truck with Texas license plates.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a medium build and a tattoo covering his left hand. He was wearing a grey baseball cap, black hoodie, gray sweatpants and Jordan style sneakers.
