Man arrested in Central El Paso arson

A man allegedly responsible for a fire that destroyed a Central El Paso home has been arrested, the El Paso Fire Department said. 

The fire happened on March 8 in the 2600 block of Morehead. The fire cost about $47,000 in damages, the fire department said in a news release.

Jesus Bernal was arrested on suspicion of arson on March 28 in the same neighborhood following an investigation. 

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
